⭒ the acronym 'gwsn' is an abbreviation of their korean name, gong-won so-nyeo, which literally means 'park girl.' the group's name has multiple different meanings as well!

gwsn's tagline is "zero to one", which means that when the group comes together with their fans, they become whole. In fact, the group's predebut name was "01 sonyeo".
Zero can be pronounced as "gong", and one as "won" in korean, so the pronunciation is the same as 'gongwon sonyeo'. GWSN can also be interpreted as the cardinal directions of a compass! W for west, S for south, N for north, and G standing for ground or east, which represents South Korea, where the group is based.
